Antonio Ruggerino’s fascination with vintage posters began when he was given a poster as a housewarming gift, a moment that sparked what would become a lifelong passion. Over the years, that passion evolved into an earnest pursuit; for more than two decades, Antonio has travelled across Europe, sourcing original vintage posters and building one of Australia’s most significant private collections.
From 2002 to 2006, he ran the only vintage poster gallery in Bondi, establishing a reputation for curating authentic works from the golden age of advertising. Today, Vintage Posters operates from the heart of Sydney’s CBD, offering a curated collection online and by private appointment.
Antonio’s collection is unrivalled locally, featuring Australia’s largest holdings of Cappiello posters alongside carefully restored pieces from around the world, spanning the 1890s through to the early 2000s. What began as a personal passion now serves collectors, designers and enthusiasts alike, helping preserve and share the artistry of poster design across generations.
